If you'd like to change various aspects of the overall style of the page, you can do so under Modify | Page Properties... The following dialog appears:
Here, you can change the page title, just as you can in the toolbar that is always present at the top of your workspace. The background image field lets you select an image to tile in the background, much like a desktop wallpaper. Design aesthetics strongly recommend against doing this, especially with larger images files, as they only serve to interfere with the readability of the page's text. The next few fields provide a place to change the colours of various page aspects. With each of these fields, the following color picker appears:
By simply clicking on the desired colour, you can change the background, your text, and the colour of unclicked, visited, and currently clicked hypertext, respectively. These attributes will apply themselves to any region of the page whose attributes have not been specified otherwise. To change a small section of text to another colour, simply highlight the text you want to change and click the color box next to the size field and select the desired colour. More precise colours may be selected by clicking the colour wheel at the top of this mini window, but you should be advised that colours chosen there may not be faithfully rendered in every browser. FYI, the #CCCCCC at the top of the box in this example is the 6-digit hex code for that particular shade of grey. The values are split up in pairs indicating Red percentage, Green percentage, and Blue percentage and can range from 00-FF. 00 being zero percent and FF being 100%. For example, green would be #00FF00, white #FFFFFF, and black #000000. Experiment with these numbers to create your own custom colours. |
